Cindi grew up in the Puyallup valley where she was apart of her families 3rd generation bulb farm. Her grandfather Si moved to the Puyallup valley after hops failed on this side of the cascade mountains. Si began VanLierop Bulb Farms in the rich valley soils and his wife Bea opened a small flower shop out of their garage. It was a pivotal moment as bulb growers sold their bulbs, but often times discarded their blooms.  

 

Brian was born in Bellflower, California and his family moved to Washington to dairy farm when he was just six. Anderson Dairy was the largest producing dairy in Pierce County for many years suppling locally, farmer owned Darigold. Dairy farming was not an easy task in Pierce county and to this day is one of the most heavily regulated industries in the world.

Maddie had the opportunity to grow up on both of her families’ farms before they concluded production. The legacy of farming and the importance of agricultural in her life has always played a large role. When the opportunity arose to bring together both the creativity of winemaking with the vinification of grapes she was sold.
